coat of arms |
Bad Salzungen’s coat of arms shows a bishop in golden robes with red shoes, a golden crosier and a red book with a black cross on it, all on a blue surface – the saint Boniface. Since the bishop also exercised secular power at that time, he appears as patron saint of Salzungen in the coat of arms and also in the town seal first proven in 1345. |
